I have been continuing my Shroom research and today I went over the effects of the isolated syringes we have available at The Seed Cellar. Before I dive into my effect findings, I would like to say a small bit about "setting the trip". This concept has a name, "set and setting". Set and setting are important because they allow you to become receptive to the magic mushrooms. For "set", you will want to take care of all responsibilities and take a few days off work. Try to practice clearing your mind with mindfulness before the trip. The "setting"
should be somewhere familiar, comfortable, and a little stimulating.
Other tips I've gathered worth a mention:
-It takes around 30 minutes for shrooms to kick in.
-You can quicken the digestion process through lemon tekking (it is believed the citric acid in the lemon juice breaks down the mushroom material, saving your body some time it would otherwise spend breaking it down.) ((The Lemon Tek method may result in a faster onset and a stronger and shorter journey than eating dried mushrooms as they are . ))
-Eating psilocybin mushrooms on an empty stomach can lead to a faster onset than consuming them on a full stomach.
-Cannabis may elongate a magic mushroom trip if you smoke it towards the end experience. This is because cannabis tends to potentiate the effect of psychedelics.
-There is evidence indicating that psilocybin therapy can be helpful in the treatment of various conditions, including; Major depression and treatment-resistant depression, end-of-life anxiety, smoking addiction, and PTSD.
-When ingested, psilocybin is metabolized to psilocin, which is the molecule that acts on serotonin receptors in our brain. The intensity, quality, and duration of its effects depend on the different species, dosage, individual physiology, and environmental conditions.
-Some people feel a bit fatigued after a trip, with cold shivers over the body, headache, pupil dilation, nausea, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
-A bad trip can be an intense experience that can cause discomfort or even fear and panic attacks. A bad trip is annoying, but is temporary and will disappear after a few hours.
-The best thing to do when having a bad trip is to try to relax, be in good company, and not worry about anything. A calm and understanding sober person around to watch over you is always welcome, a "trip sitter'.
-Postpone your trip for another time if you are in a negative state of mind.
-Do not plan to drive under the influence of psychoactive effects.
-Keep in mind that the kind of trip will depend on many elements: personality, where you are, whom you are with, what you ate, and if you are mixing up with other substances or alcohol.
-Drink a lot of water during the trip.
-If you're not feeling fine and you want to "stop" your trip, take vitamin C or something sweet (orange juice is perfect) to lower the effects.
-When having a bad trip, you can try to relax and talk about the experience, changing the setting can also work.
Albino Penis Envy (APE): Albino Penis Envy, or "Ape" for short, is one of the best-known and most popular magic mushrooms. Psilocybe Hoogshagenii var. Convexa: Psilocybe Hoogshagenii mushrooms are
used for entheogenic, or spiritual, purposes by some Chinantec-speaking curanderos of the Mixtec district in Oacax. These mushrooms are moderately active and are used by Mixtec and Zapotec peoples in spiritual rituals and ceremonies, also used as a divinatory agent Psilocybe Hoogshagenii is used by mushroom growers for the myceliated grain technique because it produces viable amounts of psilocybin in the mycelium phase.
Psilocbye Mexicana var. Jalisco "Truffle Producer": There is not a direct measurement for Psilocybe Mexicana var. Jalisco "Truffle Producers" but they are reported to contain a maximum of 0.25 percent psilocybin and 0.25 percent psilocin. On paper, this makes P. Mexicannas weaker in comparison to the more commonly grown cubensis, however, those who have tried both have reported Mexicanna shrooms to have similar or greater potency than the cubensis depending on who you ask. A reason for such confusion is likely because magic mushrooms, in general, can vary greately in potency depending on how they're grown, so making comparisons between species is relatively difficult. It seems fewer people have tried Mexicanna truffle producers or at the very least documented their experiences. Remember, you can always take more, but you can't take less! Mexicanna Truffle producers start their psychedelic action after 30-60 minutes from ingestion, the whole trip can last from 3-6 hours, coming on in subsequent waves. Effects you can expect on Mexicanna Truffle producers: changes in your vision, increased sensitivity to light and colors, enhanced peripheral vision, dizziness, increased curiosity, laughter, mild nausea, a different perception of time and space, auras around lights, visuals, and patterns appear with eyes open or closed, increased emotional sensitivity, an intense feeling of wonder and spiritual or pseudo-religious revelations can happen.
Psilocybe Natalensis aka Natal Super Strain: Psilocybe Natalesis aka Natal Super Strength Strain is a very aggressive strain- the mycelium is rhizomorphic and colonizes rapidly. Fruits are large and intensely blue, they're super potent. Wild collected specimens are leucistic or albino.
